Furnace chimney sweeps are also known as furnace flue chimney cleanings, or furnace chimney cleanings.  Furnace chimney sweeps are primarily for integrity purposes, chimney cleaning, and obstruction free assurance. Integrity purposes – A CSIA (Chimney Safety Institute of America) Certified Chimney Sweep can visually look up the chimney & down the chimney, but cannot climb inside it to test the integrity of your firewalls within. If when pushing the chimney rods and brushes through your chimney system (chimney cleanings), pieces of shaling fire clay tile, fire clay tile joints, or brick come down, you then know there is an integrity & worthiness issue at the point in which debris begins to fall.  This is a must know for continuous safe venting!
